Group Exercise Classes



Join in the fun of exercising in a supportive group environment! We offer a variety of classes including hydrotherapy, Clinical Pilates, balance and falls prevention, cardiovascular disease and diabetes management, weight loss, as well as general health and fitness. See our group class descriptions and timetable below to find a class that best suits your needs.

Fit 4 Life 
(Monday 11.30am | Thursday 11.30am | Thursday 6.45pm | Friday 9.30am)
This exciting circuit based class is suited to all ages and fitness levels. You will have fun performing the different variety of exercises each week, including strengthening, cardiovascular, core stability, balance and flexibility exercises. Best of all, the circuit nature of the class means that you can take it at your own pace and we can modify certain exercises to suit your needs.

Pilates
(Monday 5.45pm | Tuesday 1.30pm | Tuesday 5.15pm | Wednesday 7.30am |  Thursday 5.30pm  |  Friday 10.00am)
Pilates is a technique that is based around posture, core stability, strength, flexibility and correct breathing techniques. Our Clinical Pilates classes have a maximum of 3 – 4 participants to ensure you receive individual attention, and are performed on equipment such as the reformer, trapeze table and wunda chair. Suitable for all ages and levels, we will modify certain exercises to suit your needs and experience.

Movement Against Cancer (MAC) 
(Monday 10.30am | Tuesday 12.30pm | Thursday 10.30am | Friday 12.30pm)

Movement Against Cancer (MAC) is an evidence-based, clinical exercise program for people currently living with cancer and cancer survivors. The MAC program consists of 2 x group sessions per week for 12 x weeks where you will undertake a program specifically tailored to your individual needs under the guidance of a highly trained Exercise Physiologist. Rehab to Recovery (R2R)
(Tuesday 9.45am | Thursday 9.45am)

Rehab to Recovery is a specialised class for those needing rehabilitation for a specific musculoskeletal injury or condition (such as knee, back or shoulder pain or injury, or pre / post surgery). Although set in a group environment, you will have your own individualised exercise program, specifically tailored to your rehabilitation needs. Regular re-assessments will ensure you are progressing, and on your way to making a full recovery! 


Hydrotherapy 
(Wednesday 1.15pm | Friday 12.15pm)

Our Hydrotherapy classes (or water based exercises) are performed in a heated pool, and the combination of the warm environment and the non-weight bearing nature of exercising in water means this class is great for building strength, mobility and endurance, especially if you require decreased joint loading due to pain or injury rehabilitation restrictions, whilst also easing stiff and sore joints and relaxing sore muscles.


Peak Performance
(Thursday 6pm)

Peak Performance is a moderate to high intensity class that will help to improve your energy, vitality, strength, flexibility and stamina! A combination of strength, cardio and flexibility exercises, this class is suitable for those with a moderate to high level of fitness, and well managed health concerns. Peak Performance is designed to have you functioning at your optimal potential, whether it be for everyday life, work or sport. 


Steady Feet 
(Friday 11.15am)

The name says it all! This 30 minute balance and falls prevention class will help to improve your strength, core stability, co-ordination, movement and balance; ensuring you will be more steady on your feet! This class is suitable if you’ve had a history of falls, or would like to improve your confidence and reduce your likelihood of a fall.


Young @ Heart 
(Wednesday 10.30am)

Young@heart is a gentle physical activity program designed for the over 60’s or those with a lower tolerance to exercise. This class involves chair based exercises focused on strength, cardiovascular fitness (heart and lung health), balance and mobility. Young@heart is safe for people with stable long-term health conditions such as heart disease, arthritis, diabetes or obesity, and will help to improve your function for everyday life!
